In an effort to assist with limiting the spread of the COVID-19 virus in our community, the City of Alliance will be closing non-essential facilities; listed below. Closures will remain in effect until further notice.The Utility Billing Office will be limited to drive-up business only. The utility billing drop box is available 24 hours, with staff assistance available via the drive-up window Monday through Friday, 8:00-5:00. Utility bills can also be paid on the city’s web page at www.cityofalliance.net. Senior Center - Nutrition Site Meals will be delivered by volunteers and staff to ensure services continue through the facility closing. No other services will be offered during the closure and the facility will be closed to all patrons. Please Contact Angie Flesner at (308) 762-1293 to make arrangements. Public Transit is resuming normal schedules and services. Buses run from 6:30 am – 4:30 pm. Monday thru Friday and Sundays from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm by appointment only. Riders are asked to wear masks and to anticipate longer wait times due to additional cleaning. If you are sick or have been exposed to someone who is sick, please refrain from using our services. Skyview Golf Course will be open for play with the following restrictions. 1) There should not be more than five individuals in the pro shop at one time and individuals are encouraged to play in small groups while practicing the 6 feet space allowance recommended by the CDC. 2) Tee times will be 15 minutes apart and are strongly encouraged to allow staff to better manage players. Individuals with tee times will be given preference above individuals who do not call ahead for a tee time. 3) Staff will be using foam to fill cups so that players are not reaching into the cup to retrieve their ball and the flag can remain in the cup. Staff will also work diligently to ensure surfaces are kept clean. The City of Alliance staff believes that with these slight changes we can provide a safe recreational opportunity during this challenging time.
