Accepted Items for Disposal In Separate Areas

In addition to waste that must be disposed of in the Landfill cells, the following items are accepted for disposal in separate areas at the Landfill: 

  • Trees
  • Wood pallets
  • Tires
  • Appliances
  • Concrete
  • Asphalt
  • Other construction and demolition material

Location and Hours of Operation

Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (December 1 through March 31)

Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (April 1 through November 30) 

The landfill is located at 1441 E. Kansas Street.

Nebraska Environmental Trust

The City of Alliance has received a grant award of $52,318.00 from the Nebraska Environmental Trust for a Recycling Collections Feasibility Study project to identify the benefits if recycling operations are provided to the community and divert recyclable materials from being deposited in the landfill.
