Purchasing

Purchasing is responsible for coordinating and administrating public purchasing procedures within the city organization.  Specific purchasing duties include: Coordination, development, and preparation of specifications for city purchases; selection and administration of the appropriate purchasing processes; responding to departmental purchase requests; and providing informed purchase recommendations.


Fleet Services
Fleet Services renders support  to other city departments in the area of vehicle and equipment repair, maintenance, manpower assistance, and fleet information management.  Specific tasks include: Purchase and distribution of supplies; inventory and tool monitoring; information management and reporting; equipment purchase recommendations; roadside service; bookkeeping; troubleshooting and diagnosis; and warranty supervision.


Risk Management
Risk Management supervises and implements control measures for the variety of risks in the city's daily operations.  Insurance package for the following are all supervised by this activity: Commercial Property, Boiler and Machinery, Inland Marine, General Liability, Commercial Vehicle, Commercial Crime, Errors and Omissions Liability, Commercial Umbrella, Employee Bonding, Unemployment Insurance and Workers Compensation.
