WHO ARE WE? |
The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit, volunteer organization comprised of individuals who support the Alliance Public Library in its role as a vital resource center to Alliance and the extended area. They are advocates of the library. While no one argues against the necessity of the library, these people are pro-active, committed to making non-users aware of its gifts. Their manifest appreciation of the library raises its profile so that it is not taken for granted. |

WHAT DO WE DO? |
| | |
Friends help by raising funds for special books and periodicals, and non-budgeted amenities that make the library more welcoming. They provide volunteer help as requested by the librarian. They help with programs and public relations to keep the library prominent in the eye of the community. |
