Utility Customer Service is responsible for billing and collection of water, electric, sanitary sewer, and refuse charges. |

In addition, staff provides customer history reports, maintains load management contracts and security light agreements; and tracks service deposits and refunds. Utility Staff also prepare work and maintenance orders for such items as new connections, disconnection's, and service requests. All personnel are cross trained in analysis and resolution of customer billing concerns and utility service questions. |

Meter Reading is associated with the Utility Customer Service Office. This activity is responsible for reading all urban electric and water meters and rural electric meters. In addition to reading meters, the staff is trained to perform an onsite analysis of the validity of the readings and request follow-up work orders to service crews if a problem is suspected. |
