    April 29, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Knight Museum and Sandhills Center basement

    Tom Weins, Certified Arborist will conduct a workshop regarding many subjects concerning tree health Saturday, April 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 12;)0 p.m. in the basement of the Knight Museum and Sandhills Center. The first 50 participants at this workshop will receive a free, small potted Burr Oak tree. This program is courtesy of the Alliance Park and Tree Board.

  1. Spring Into Reading Contest

    March 1, 8:00 AM - April 29, 5:00 PM @ Alliance Public Library

    Contest is open to all kids grades K through 4. For each book kids check out and read from the easy fiction, juvenile fiction and juvenile non-fiction, they will fill out a kite to place on the wall with the child's classroom. The classroom with the most books read by May 5 will win a special party! Home school families are also encouraged to participate and will work together to win a special party at the library.

    The Alliance Police Department Dispatchers will host an Open House Saturday, April 29 from 9:00 a.m. to noon! Stop by the Law Enforcement Center at 512 Niobrara to see how dispatchers serve our community and find out if becoming a dispatcher might be a good career choice for you. Cookies and coffee will be served.

This program is brought to you by the Alliance Park and Tree Board.
